As the summer comes to a close, I’m wrapping up my first workshop for The Story Assembly, Can I Get a Witness? I’m holding both a readiness and a trepidation in putting it down. I learned so much through creating and delivering it that I’m excited to move on from it. I feel like I’ve outgrown it—like an itchiness to shed a molting skin—but there’s also some anxiety about what’s to come. Perhaps this is what a new, soft body feels like when it lets its spent skin go: the thrill of fresh air...
