LIFE UNBOXED
Formation
The Story Assembly was shaped by a moment I haven’t forgotten—one in which I experienced what it meant to be fully witnessed.
I was in the midst of grief and shame, overwhelmed and unsure how to hold it. Sitting beside me was someone who chose not to fix, advise, or interpret what I was feeling. He simply stayed—with presence, steadiness, and care—allowing me to experience what I needed to experience without editing it for his comfort.
There were no instructions. No redirection. Just the quiet, powerful experience of being fully seen and met where I was.
That moment, along with other life experiences and a growing awareness of how deeply people long for connection, became the foundation for this work.

Fellowship
The Story Assembly is designed to be experienced in person, where connection can be felt and built in real time. Each gathering creates the opportunity for a temporary community to form—one grounded in presence, care, and the shared experience of being both seen and heard.
Over time, these gatherings become something more: a growing body of people who carry this practice into their daily lives. What begins as a single experience extends outward, shaping how participants relate, listen, and engage with others beyond the room.
