About the event
In the Telling: Family Stories
Every family has stories. Some we tell again and again. Some we remember differently. And some we wish we knew.
Who was the family character everyone still talks about? Which stories have become family legend? What did you believe about your family growing up that you see differently today? And what stories do you hope will live on long after you're gone?
Welcome to In the Telling, a new three-evening storytelling series from The Story Assembly.
Through playful activities, thoughtful prompts, and conversations that go beyond small talk, we'll explore what happens when we give our stories room to breathe—and offer that same space to others.
We'll practice telling stories without editing ourselves for the audience, listening with curiosity rather than judgment, and witnessing one another without the pressure to advise, fix, or respond with a story of our own.
